Methven Central Care Home: Carrying on the tradition of Care & Community of Methven House
Over the last decade, passionate volunteers from Methven House and its governing body [Methven Aged Persons Welfare Association], in partnership with the fundraising and project build team of Methven Care Trust, have diligently sought out the ideal location for our new care home.
The result? Methven Central designed with seniors in mind. This collaborative effort stands as a testament to Methven’s community spirit.
Since 1977, Methven House, our local rest home, has been a vibrant hub of community activity run by passionate and caring staff, supported by long serving volunteers. Now, as we look to the future, we’re excited to introduce Methven Central Care Home, a replacement for the current Methven House building that at over 100 years old is proving costly to maintain.
Our cherished tradition of warm and personal care will continue at Methven Central with 20 spacious care home rooms on offer. These include a variety of care suites as well as premium and standard rest home rooms.

If the level of support you need is more than you’re able to get at home, then we will be here to help. These apartments are designed to accommodate your evolving care needs while providing tailored services. With the flexibility to adapt as your requirements change, these apartments provide care services that can extend up to rest home level care. Acquired through an Occupation Right Agreement (ORA), our Serviced Studio Apartments will ensure that you can reside in one room for a longer period of time, experiencing top-tier care and services throughout your journey.
Set up like a studio apartment, with basic kitchenette, a private ensuite, a personal North facing balcony boasting mountain views.

Each spaciously designed room will include a private ensuite, while our premium accommodations provide scenic vistas and simple kitchenettes.
